![]() The basic concept of it is that it allows one to create an online Mario Kart 7 group from within the game. If you want, PM me if you have any other questions about 7.Mario Kart 7 has a great “Community” feature that we’ve talked about before. One step at a time, and you're closer to the top before you know it. It's mostly for online races, but there's some advanced stuff that should be useful for Time Trials there.ĭid you defeat all expert staff ghosts? It's a more reasonable first goal than getting close to WR level, so if you didn't, use what you learn(ed) and aim for that first, then improve from there. I wrote a ton of info about almost every track in the game. Take a look at the Track Thursdays from Mario Kart 7 around here (they just ended a few weeks ago, it's about Wii now). An easier way to aim for that ramp is to go for it like you'd use a Mushroom for the shortcut, still drifting. The Off-Road is so high, it's enough to reach the ramp with a super miniturbo (orange boost), as long as you hop right after releasing it to delay the off-road effects a bit. get another miniturbo on your 3rd drift), and the speed loss by doing this is lower than snaking (low enough to make the boost count), because you don't turn as much.Ībout Lap 2, that's why it's using Red Monster. That allows you to repeat the process (i.e. Almost immediately after this, drift in the opposite direction until you're aligned again, then release your drift, even if it won't give you another boost. Drift as if you're tackling a sharp turn, then release it as soon as you get it. I found a video or two detailing a few minor things such as doing the trick jump over bumps as late as possible to reduce air time and thus going faster, but there seems to be much more to learn than was is explained out there.Ībout the 2 blue miniturbos on that straightaway, it's all about adjusting your kart quickly. There seem to be many advanced driving techniques in the game, and google has not yielded much of anything explaining these. This post is already long enough, but I hope you understand my question now. Is that a hack or some secret technique? Because that results in huge time savings as he can use his mushroom instead to cut the last corner by the green tubes. Even on the time i managed to get the orange drift boost at the exact time he does in the video (which is bloody hard by itself) the orange drift boost doesn't carry me through the sand, my kart just slows down as if driving through honey, while in the video he hardly looses any speed at all. Then when he exits the tunnel on lap 2 and 3, he uses no shroom to use the ramp, just an orange drift boost. How the hell does he do that? I tried for half an hour do emulate this, but I need at least twice as long for blue sparks to appear and by that time I am almost off the track and the boost costed me at least a second rather than gaining time compared to just going straight. On the starting straight he does two blue drift boosts. Let's take a simple course, like Toads Circuit as an example. I found the following website which has youtube videos of the world records, and apart from gaining a little bit by copying their kart combinations and route, they just seem to magically be able to do things that I cannot copy. I mean I am sure that by cutting a curve closer and driving more aggressive I could shave off half a second to a second of most of my records max, but certainly not the up to 20 seconds needed for world record times. On almost all tracks I am about halfway between the peak of the bellcurve and the fastest time and don't know how to improve further. But now I have hit a plateau in time trial mode. I had lots of fun in solo mode so far, improving my time trial times times constantly, getting 3 stars in all grand prixs etc. But Mario Kart was one of my favourite games during my childhood, so Mario Kart 7 was pretty much the first game I picked up. So, first of all for reference, I only have a 3ds since November and the last nintendo console I owned was a 64, so I am very late to the party.
